Gallium is a chemical element, having the chemical symbol Ga. Its atomic number (the number of protons) is 31. It has a standard atomic weight of 69.723 g•mol −1. It is a brittle solid in its elemental form below its melting point of 29.76 °C.

Gallium is considered to be a member of the "Post-transition metal" class of element. At a pressure of 101.325 kPa, it has a boiling point of 2,204 °C.
