I wrote this article a few days ago for Wikipedia, from scratch, because I was interested in the subject. I have since tried to resolve a few questions that remained, particularly as to whether the original UPIC machine still exists. Judging by personal correspondence it does, but it does not work. This information cannot however go in the Wikipedia article because it is original research, and I am hesitant to mention it here because it is uncorroborated. There's a photo of a UPIC base unit here. I do not know whether this is the original, or indeed if there was a single original. The UPIC concept is still current, although it is now implemented in software. The relationship between CEMAMu, Les Ateliers UPIC, and CCMIX appears to be very complex; I assume that CEMAMu became Les Ateliers UPIC which became CCMIX, but I don't know for sure. -Ashley Mark Pomeroy 19:44, 16 November 2007 (CST)
