How come this isn't at The Misfits (movie)? I can think of one other reference which might trump the movie in terms of popularity: the punk band, 'The Misfits' who started in 1977 (see http://www.misfits.com/info/index.html) --Robert W King 10:10, 15 February 2008 (CST)
- That band is called "Misfits". They no longer use the definite article "The" at the start of it. Note their latest album cover [1]. Meg Ireland 22:22, 15 February 2008 (CST)
- Sorry to nitpick, Robert, but please don't title anything "XYZ (movie). It should be "XYZ (film)" or "XYZ (1930 film)" and "XYZ (1956 film). Please. It'll drive me mad. Aleta Curry 23:02, 15 February 2008 (CST)
- Hi Meg/Robert I agree that the band that uses the name "Misfits" is no longer the same as the one started by Glen Danzig, and company in the 1970's. I think you will find wide support on that notion. This does not mean tho that there should not be an article "The Misfits (band)", IMHO. Do a Google search and you can see what I mean. I am going to go ahead and attempt the move in accordance with our standard CZ practices. Please let me know if I don't get it correct.--David Yamakuchi 15:43, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Aleta: Sorry about the (movie) thing, I have no problem at all going to a (film) title, (ahem) as it were ;)--David Yamakuchi 15:43, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
- The consensus over on Wikipedia is to use "Misfits" for the band, not that I really care about the thugs and goons running that particular
