Note: I wrote this article originally for Wikipedia, and have contributed it to Citizendium. The content of the first version is nearly identical to my rewrite of the article at Wikipedia; but as I am the author of both, this article should not be considered to "contain content from Wikipedia". Orphan, and from Wikipedia--candidate for deletion?

- Not really an orphan, and not from Wikipedia. The text here was written by me, though I put it on WP first. (It was an almost complete re-write of the article on WP.) This article is about a fairly important geotechnical engineering lab test. I plan to either write or bring in articles about other geotechnical lab tests, though I started with this one because I saw a need for a complete rewrite over at WP, and figured that I could also contribute the article to CZ.
