Tried to add some precision to the article, still needs a lot of work to get it in shape. For example, it doesn't really make sense to talk about orthogonality of a family of sine and cosine functions ranging over a continuum of frequencies from to , in what sense are they orthogonal? This is different from the case of a Fourier series in which you have a family sine and cosine functions whose frequencies are integral multiples of some fundamental frequency. Hendra I.
