history vs. myth
It would be interesting, I think, to try to distinguish what is said about Dido that is actual history (she appears to have been an actual historical personage), and what is legend as per, say, the Aeneid.Pat Palmer (talk) 00:49, 9 December 2020 (UTC)

- Yes, her role in the Aeneid seems likely to be pure fiction. However, Dido was likely a daughter of a Phoenician family married to a nearby king of ?. I think I found this in Britannica or another source. I will try to look around. This comment is mainly there to remind me to see what I can dig up.Pat Palmer (talk) 14:14, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
