Stephen Long

Stephen Long was an American explorer. During his expedition of 1820, his group camped at present day Denver on July 4th, then members of his group were the first white explorers to climb Pike's Peak, Colorado.[1]
On the eastern return, his expedition split into two groups on August 24th, 1820.
