Pentheus

Pentheus [r]: From Greek mythology, he was the king of Thebes but who refused to believe in the divinity of Dionysos, and this led to his death at the hands of his own mother and aunts, and this story is related by Euripides in the Bacchae, according to Elizabeth Vandiver, Classics scholar and authority on Greek mythology and Greek tragedy including the Iliad, Odyssey, Aeneid, Homer, and Virgil.
