A firefighter is an individual specially trained to fight fires.[1]
Modern firefighters usually travel from their fire hall to a fire in fire engines.[1] Firefighters who fight marine fires may use a fireboat.
Forest fires may be fought by firefighters flying Water bombers, or by smoke jumpers - lightly equipped firefighters who are dropped by parachute so they can access and get ahead of fires so remote they can not be reached by road.
