A Touch of Frost is an ITV series of police dramas based on the novels of R. D. Wingfield, starring David Jason as Detective Inspector Jack Frost, a rule-breaking, middle-aged but dedicated detective who often clashes with Supt. Norman Mullett (who Frost refers to as "Horn-rimmed Harry") (played by Bruce Alexander), a officious administrator, solves often grisly murders in the fictional town of Denton, generally located in the Thames Valley area, often Oxfordshire.
