U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit is the U.S. court overseeing the Federal District courts in Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. The court is commonly called the "Eighth Circuit Court".
Historical Society
The Eighth Judicial Circuit Historical Society is a private, not-for-profit organization organized under the laws of the State of Missouri. It was created to promote awareness of the federal courts in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.[1] The Society was formed as a non-profit Colorado corporation in 2003. It qualifies under provisions of the Internal Revenue Code as a 501(c)(3) educational and charitable organization. Its goal is to preserve the history of the federal courts of the seven states that make up the Eighth Circuit.
