Should be disambiguated. There are loads of Thomas Jacksons, including my late father (not notable) and Rev. Dr TJ (1578-1640), Dean of Peterborough, President of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, etc., who came from the same small village as my ancestors and so may well be related, though we never found enough documentation to establish definitely which Jacksons were which before 1691.
