Aegeus

Aegeus [r]: In Greek mythology, he was a founding father of the city-state of Athens and one of its earliest kings. The Aegean Sea was named after him. He was the father of the Greek hero Theseus who killed the Minotaur, and who was a prominent character in Greek tragedy. ^[e]
