A definition or brief description of Flue gas stack.

A vertical pipe, channel or similar structure (sometimes referred to as a smokestak) through which combustion product gases called "flue gases" are exhausted to the outside air.

Includes discussion of the draft (draught) effect of hot flue gases flowing through tall flue gas stacks (chimneys).
