Yes, right now it looks like an essay. I've never heard of Rene Girard--not that that means anything--and the article says "Girard's works are based firmly within the field of anthropology," so I wonder why this wasn't placed in the Anthro Workgroup. --Larry Sanger 18:20, 14 May 2007 (CDT)

This article definitely needs cleanup. I've been meaning to read a book by one of my lecturers on Girard (I saw Girard speak in London a few years ago too). I'll hopefully come back and re-edit this to make it encyclopedic very soon. --Tom Morris 14:40, 16 May 2008 (CDT)
