The Algoma Progress moored in frozen Toronto harbour in 2014. Note her long self-unloading boom.

The Algoma Progress is a self-unloading lake freighter operating on the North American Great Lakes, by Algoma Central.[1][2] She is a seawaymax vessel, equipped with a bow thruster. From 1968 until 2011 she was owned and operated by Upper Lakes Shipping, and was named the Canadian Progress. Upper Lakes sold her entire remaining fleet to Algoma Central

She has had two serious groundings.[2]
