A dairy is a place where dairy products are prepared from raw milk.

Products prepared included:

Modern dairies pasteurize the milk they process.

While all female mammals are capable of lactation, the production of milk, for feeding their young, most milk processed by dairies is from cows. Milk from more exotic animals like goats and camels and buffalos is also sometimes consumed.
