Notice to all Citizens
The Management Council has called a Special Election. Citizens have nominated candidates and proposed referenda. Voting is now under way and runs until midnight UTC on August 5th 2013.
Eligibility to vote in the election
You are eligible to vote in this election if you maintain an unblocked account on this main wiki, as long as it is in your own real name and was created at least 30 days before the election commences (i.e. on or before June 30th, 2013; see the elections procedure).
Management Council election
Any Citizen in good standing is eligible to fill a Management Council seat. The elected officer will complete a term of office which began on July 1st, 2013, as specified by the Management Council, and ends on June 30th, 2015. In the event that a single 'Citizendium Council' is created by referendum, the term shall expire on June 30th, 2014.
There is one candidate for one seat on the Management Council. This candidate will be subject to an approval vote, in which voters specify yes or no to approve or not approve that candidate. To see the candidate list, click here.
Editorial Council election
Any Citizen in good standing is eligible to fill an Editorial Council Author seat. Only Editors may fill an Editorial Council Editor seat. The elected officers will complete the terms of office of the members who vacate their particular seat as specified by the Management Council.
The Editorial Council seats to be filled by this election are those of:
- Editor: Nick Gardner (term expires December 31st, 2014)
- Author: John Stephenson (term expires December 31st, 2013)
There are two candidates for the Author seat and two candidates for the Editor seat. Each voter has one vote for each seat. Votes are cast by specifying a single name for each seat on the ballot. To see the candidate list, click here.
In the event that a single 'Citizendium Council' is created by referendum, all terms shall expire on June 30th, 2014.
Referenda
Citizens have proposed referenda on how various aspects of this project are run.
To view the referenda that have been proposed, see the referenda proposal text.

Voting

Notes
- There is no 'referendum 4' because it was rejected by the Managing Editor, so the list of referenda on the ballot paper skips over it.
- Where there is only a single candidate for a seat, the name of that candidate is given on the ballot paper and you should write yes or no underneath to approve or not approve that candidate.
- Where there is more than one candidate for a seat, you should type the full name of one candidate in the appropriate place on the ballot paper.
- For referenda, write yes or no underneath each one to approve or not approve the proposals.
- You may abstain on any or all seats and referenda by leaving the appropriate spaces blank. Writing anything else will invalidate that section of your ballot paper.
- You may only vote for candidates and referenda that appear on the ballot paper. Any others will invalidate that section of your ballot paper.
- You may only vote by typing the names of candidates or writing yes or no as appropriate. Writing anything else will invalidate that section of your ballot paper.
- You have as many votes as there are seats or proposals for each section. Voting more than once will invalidate that section of your ballot paper.
