Thrombocytopenia
Vancomycin may cause immune thrombocytopenia.[1]
Acute kidney injury
Vancomycin is associated with acute kidney injury if trough levels are above 15 microg/mL.[2] To avoid this, the blood levels of vancomycin should be monitored.[3][4]
