Northern Ireland is a region in the British Isles, north from the Republic of Ireland and west from England. It is currently occupied by the United Kingdom, and has been a tumultuous spot of perennial strife between the supporters of its union with United Kingdom (Ulster Unionism) and supporters of its unification with the Republic of Ireland (Irish Republicanism).
