Welcome, new editor! We're very glad you've joined us. Here are pointers for a quick start. Also, when you get a chance, please read The Editor Role. You can look at Getting Started and our help system for other introductory pages. It is also important, for project-wide matters, to join the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list. Announcements are also available via Twitter. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any administrator for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and thank you! We appreciate your willingness to share your expertise, and we hope to see your edits on Recent changes soon.

Jared, I approved you as editors in the Engineering Workgroup and the Computers Workgroup. We look forward to your contributions.

Group Theory Article

What are we going to do with this article? I tend to agree with Greg Martin that it sounds a bit like a collection of facts, lacking narrative structure (no criticism of you or your writing intended!) I've tried suggesting a few ideas, but until my articles Complex number and Prime number were approved yesterday, I've pretty much had my hands full. I had intended to go on and write about some facet of differential geometry (or maybe just a basic article on manifolds), but now I'm beginning to think an article on Lie groups might not be a bad idea. I agree with his comments. I'll continue this on the talk page. (I wont take it personally!) - Jared Grubb 02:17, 8 May 2007 (CDT)

John Logie Baird

Hello Jared,

Just a question for you -- I've been at work on the entry on John Logie Baird, which is in the Media workgroup as well as the Engineering Workgroup. Although I'm a Media Workgroup editor, I can't nominate the entry as I have done too much work on it. If you would have a look, and consider whether you feel it's ready to be nomated for Approval, I'd be grateful. Cheers, Russell Potter 19:46, 4 July 2007 (CDT)
