Question about the last sentence

The last sentence as the article stands now doesn't seem to scan: " had always close friends to the Bennets." And who are the Bennets? Pat Palmer (talk) 06:10, 23 July 2022 (CDT)

Oops! I meant the Austens. I seem to have conflated Jane Austen and her fictional hero, Elizabeth Bennet. George Swan (talk) 09:35, 23 July 2022 (CDT)
