Lotus Renault GP, formerly the Renault F1 Team and to be known from 2012 as the Lotus F1 Team, is a British Formula 1 motor racing team based in Enstone in Oxfordshire. Renault began life as Toleman Motorsport in 1981, becoming Benetton Formula upon the team's purchase by the Benetton family in 1986, and the Renault F1 Team in 2002 following its takeover by the Renault SA car company two years previously. During its periods of Benetton and Renault ownership, the team raced with Italian and French licences, respectively, before reverting to a British licence in 2011 upon acquiring backing from Group Lotus.

Renault SA also competed as a contructor between 1977 and 1985 and has supplied customer engines since 1983. The current World Constructors' Champions, Red Bull Racing, use Renault engines.
