Noi Bai International Airport serves the Hanoi area of Vietnam, and is the major airport of the northern part of Vietnam. It is complemented by several regional airports.

Originally built for military use, it added civilian operations in 1975. It is 45 km/28 mi from downtown Hanoi; an international terminal went into service in 2001.

There are two runways, both 12,466 feet/3,800 meters long.
