:OK. I replied to other points on Larry's talk page about this back-of-an-envelope idea of mine. But I think we should start with who we have rather than people who might never sign up anyway. Perhaps it would be better to ensure that the initial group of contributors to the new wiki are on the English one as well, so those of us who aren't speakers of that language have some idea of what they're doing in the early stages, and so that we have people who are trustworthy. This is particularly important with a language like Japanese, where thanks to the writing system, others will have no idea what the content of the pages is.
