Welcome!
Welcome to the Citizendium! We hope you will contribute boldly and well. Here are pointers for a quick start. You'll probably want to know how to get started as an author. Just look at CZ:Getting Started for other helpful "startup" links, and CZ:Home for the top menu of community pages. Be sure to stay abreast of events via the Citizendium-L (broadcast) mailing list (do join!) and the blog. Please also join the workgroup mailing list(s) that concern your particular interests. You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forums is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any constable for help, too. Me, for instance! Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! Ruth Ifcher 02:44, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Welcome!
I'm an editor for the military, engineering, and computers workgroups. Now, I recognize that you may have work security restrictions, but let me give you an idea of some areas you might have interests. For actual military electronics, one way to see where we have at least basic definitions is to click on AN/, and then, on the lower left column, click on "what links here".
Radar was a scratched-together thing; I suspect electronic warfare is in better shape with lots of room for improvement. There are articles on a number of military networks.
Feel free to create your own or improve these. Some of the existing ones may give some style ideas. Not all articles have Related Articles pages on the top, but, when they do, that will give some idea of cross-linking. If something isn't defined and you think it's related, a subtopic, etc., feel absolutely free to go into edit mode and type (look at this in display, not edit mode):
{{r|name-of-subject}}
When you save that, it will have a red link indicating there is no article, and a greyed field where you can insert a brief description. There's nothing wrong with having redlinks, because they help scope out what we need to do.
