Barcelona is a the second largest Spanish city, capital of Catalonya autonomous communitie. The city itself has a population of 1.619.337[1] and the urban area is habitated by 5.012.961 people (2010), being the sixth bigger urban area in European Union by size.[2]
It's situated in the mediterranean coast, east of Iberian Peninsula and 120 kilometres from french border. It has one of the most important harbor of Mediterranean Sea and it's know worldwide for being the venue of the Olimpics Games in 1992.
