Move page to English spelling
I suggest this page should be moved to the English spelling of the name. Since English contains no ê the name should be written accordingly as "Arne of Siphnos". A redirect from the current spelling to the new spelling will mean both spelling work when looking for the article.
Secondly, isn't Arne also known as Melanippe. I may be wrong, but if not the alternative name should be mentioned in the article and a redirect setup accordingly. Derek Harkness 13:12, 21 May 2007 (CDT)
- Quick answers: 1. Yes, it must be moved, but to "Arne Sithonis" or "Arne of Naxos", because the historical connection to the island Siphnos is improbable; the whole article will be reworked accordingly; 2. The Melanippe is a different Arne (daughter of Aeolus); an article will be created here: Arne (mythology). I'm not sure, if a redirect from Melanippe should be set up for that article, because this Arne's mother was also called Melanippe. She would need her own article, because according to mythology she was turned into the star constellation Pegasus. —Arne Eickenberg 13:38, 21 May 2007 (CDT)
- "I'm not sure, if a redirect from Melanippe should be set up for that article, because this Arne's mother was also called Melanippe." Where there are two or more people with the same name, a disambiguation page should be made under Melanippe with brief explanation of the multiple characters and links to each.
