Rudy Demotte (born June 3, 1963 in Ronse, Flanders) is a Walloon Belgian socialist politician.

He is Minister-President of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation since March 28, 2008.

He used to be the 12th Minister-President of Wallonia from July 19, 2007 to July 22, 2014

He served as Federal Minister for Social Affairs and Public Health in the Belgian federal government from 2003 to 2007.

Having served as a municipal council member from 1994 on, he became mayor of Flobecq in 2000, and resigned in 2011. He is now mayor of Tournai.
