In medicine, peritoneal dialysis is a form of renal dialysis in which involved the "dialysis fluid being introduced into and removed from the peritoneal cavity as either a continuous or an intermittent procedure.."[1]
Peritoneal dialysis may be used as treatment for chronic kidney disease.
