Was she really killed by Al-Qaeda? From what I've read on the papers the question is still being investigated (the UK sent four detectives to Pakistan to help with the investigation). I've been trying to find a picture to add to the article, but it has been a bit difficult. The best thing I could find was this [http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=675865523&size=l]. I will crop that picture to see if I can isolate her figure and if the result is good I will uploaded. If anyone knows of a better image please uploaded it --[[User:José Leonardo Andrade|José Leonardo Andrade]] 09:36, 30 January 2008 (CST)

Jose, thanks for starting this article!

We really need to start an "topics in the news" page, I think. I wouldn't have said so six months or a year ago, but I think we're ready for it now--if not, we're getting close to ready. --Larry Sanger 14:06, 30 December 2007 (CST)

I can include it in a part of the cz news section I am planning on writing up today. --Robert W King 14:50, 30 December 2007 (CST)

Al-Qaeda

Was she really killed by Al-Qaeda? From what I've read on the papers the question is still being investigated (the UK sent four detectives to Pakistan to help with the investigation). I've been trying to find a picture to add to the article, but it has been a bit difficult. The best thing I could find was this [1]. I will crop that picture to see if I can isolate her figure and if the result is good I will uploaded. If anyone knows of a better image please uploaded it --José Leonardo Andrade 09:36, 30 January 2008 (CST)

As far as I know it's still under investigation, and the article should reflect that. We should not speculate. --Robert W King 09:50, 30 January 2008 (CST)
we don't speculate. we say "authorities blamed al-Qaeda, which took responsibility" and give a BBC cite for the two well-known statements Richard Jensen 10:14, 30 January 2008 (CST)

But the problem is that al-Qaeda denied any involvement [2]. Even that BBC article says that Mr Mehsud's spokesman has promptly denied the interior ministry's allegation, claiming that the audiotape of the alleged telephonic conversation is a fake [3]--José Leonardo Andrade 10:20, 30 January 2008 (CST)

Indeed they were only quoted by Adnkronos International as taking responsibility according to the BBC - Ro Thorpe 11:46, 30 January 2008 (CST) - However, Wikipedia has a source for the Al-Qaeda claim. Ro Thorpe 13:55, 30 January 2008 (CST)
