Hi, | Hi, | ||
I just changed the spelling of Nurnberg to Nuremberg; I think my verifications were sufficient. Could there be other similar changes to do? --Pierre-Alain Gouanvic 23:55, 4 December 2007 (CST) | I just changed the spelling of Nurnberg to Nuremberg; I think my verifications were sufficient. :Hi Pierre-Alain,
:Thanks for that--given that this is in English I think that's a reasonable copyedit to make. I have followed suit with listing some of Dürer's works in subpages as original provenance in Nuremburg, not Nürnberg. There might be similar changes that need to be done in other articles on German artists I have been working on, although these are stubs at the moment. Am more than happy for you to step in and contribute where you would like! Cheers. --Louise Valmoria 07:58, 5 December 2007 (CST)
== Specific request for collaboration: Dürer and Mathematics ... ==
Hi, | |||
I invite any art historians with an interest in Albrecht Dürer to please contribute to this article ... this is a collaborative effort after all. But I would also like to make a specific request for anyone who has studied his treatise on mathematics, or has some knowledge of mathematics in art, to please add to this section. I am reading through the basic version of his treatise to get some idea, but my area of expertise when it comes to Dürer is more his personal history, his significance in Nuremburg and the Northern Renaissance, and the artworks themselves, and I think his mathematical contributions deserve more detail. Thanks Louise Valmoria 17:45, 14 December 2007 (CST) |
