Sir Michael Hardie Boys, GNZM, GCMG, KstJ, QSO, PC (born 6 October 1931) is a New Zealand jurist, former Judge of the New Zealand Court of Appeal, and a former Governor-General of New Zealand (1996-2001).He is a member of the Anglican Church.

He has been married to Edith Mary (nee Zohrab) since 1957, and is the father of 2 sons and 2 daughters.

Sir Michael became Governor-General in early 1996. He proved to be an extremely popular figure accepting many positions as a patron of many organisations,including the position of Patron of the Royal Numismatic Society of New Zealand.
