Little Rock, Arkansas is the capital of the U.S. state of Arkansas. It is a city of 205,312 people located on the south bank of the Arkansas River in the center of the state, with a surrounding metropolitan area of three times as many people. It lies 137.2 miles due west of Memphis, Tennessee, or about a two-hour drive away.
