This is an infobox for any specific computer game. It should not be used on pages about series of computer games.

Usage

The full template code is this:

Other than 'title' every section is optional, however you should endeavour to fill out as many as possible. The fields should be filled out as follows:

Field Name Usage Example(s)
title Full title of the game. In most cases this will match the article name. World of Warcraft
series Full title of the series the game is a part of. This should be a wikified link to the article about the series. [[Warcraft]]

cover Filename of the image that has been uploaded to represent this game. Ideally this should be the cover from the packaging of the game. Failing this use (in order of priority): the official logo of the game, screenshot of the 'start' screen, other screenshot. WowCover.jpg
developer Full title of the game's developer. This should be a wikified link to the article about that developer. In the case of multiple developers, separate with commas. Separate multiple developers with a comma. [[Blizzard Entertainment]]
publisher Full title of the game's publisher. This should be a wikified link to the article about that publisher. In the case of multiple publishers, separate with commas. Separate multiple publishers with a comma. [[Blizzard Entertainment]]
releaseyear Year that the game was first released. Even if the release date differed from region to region, pick the earliest year of release. 1984
genre Check the Video game/Genres page for a list of genres. Enter the wikified link to the article that matches the genre name. Separate multiple genres with a comma. [[Adventure game]]
platform Enter the names of the consoles or systems it has been released on. Enter the wikified link to the system or console that matches the genre name. Separate multiple systems or consoles with a comma. [[PlayStation 3]]
