A rod and reel are probably the least used means of harvesting in a commercial fishery; they are used for some large, typically [[highly migratory species]] like [[tuna]], but [[hookfishing]] is normally a long buoyed line with many baited hooks. Of course, there is a wide variety of nets, trawls, seines, and other capturing devices. There are dredges and other devices for shellfish, as well as things like lobster pots (i.e., traps). I must say we had a normally very bright and social cat wailing loudly when she got into a lobster pot in the back yard and wasn't sure how to get out. [[User:Howard C. Berkowitz|Howard C. Of course, there is a wide variety of nets, trawls, seines, and other capturing devices. There are dredges and other devices for shellfish, as well as things like lobster pots (i.e., traps).
