beginning of a bibliography
I find this such a stunningly well written page that I do not wish to impose myself on it. But I have grabbed some books from my bookshelf to begin a bibliography of the theme. If the author(s) of this page wish to use my suggestion, it's all to the good; otherwise, sorry for cluttering up this page. Here are some integral books on the subject (yes, there are thousands!):
