I intend to maintain this article on Citizendium. I brought it in from Wikipedia, where I had been one of its editors. The source for most of the material was the public domain Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships. The table at the top of the article is based on similar tables in Wikipedia; I've modified it slightly for CZ.

When I brought the article to CZ, I added sections for the years the ship was in commission, improved the headings in the table, and rewrote several paragraphs. [[User:Louis F. Sander|Louis F. Sander]] 12:15, 24 April 2007 (CDT)

== Probable error in DANFS date ==
DANFS says that ''Fomalhaut'' was converted to an ammunition ship in 1948. The context of her history says that this probably happened in 1945. Assuming that a typographical error was involved, the CZ article puts the conversion in 1945. [[User:Louis F. Sander|Louis F. Sander]] 12:17, 24 April 2007 (CDT)

Probable error in DANFS date

DANFS says that Fomalhaut was converted to an ammunition ship in 1948. The context of her history says that this probably happened in 1945. Assuming that a typographical error was involved, the CZ article puts the conversion in 1945. Louis F. Sander 12:17, 24 April 2007 (CDT)
