Greg Woodhouse studied mathematics, where he received a bachelor's degree, with highest honors (1984), and a master's degree (1987) from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He then went on to work in software development as a member of the U.S. civil service. His primary focus is health information systems (computers in medicine), a field in which he has now worked for 15 years. His work has ranged from basic networking and database components, to message based interfaces, to financial subsystems. he was a cofounder of Hardhats (http://www.hardhats.org) and a participant in WorldvistA (http://www.worldvista.org), both of which are dedicated to developing and maintaining open source health information systems. He has a strong interest in computer science, mathematics and the physical sciences.

Current Articles

Articles on which I am currently working include

"To Do" List

  • Write sections on the prime number theorem and Riemann Hypothesis for the prime number article
  • Write articles (or sections) on Gaussian and Eisenstein integers
  • Write articles on reciprocity laws (quadratic, biquadratic, cubic, Eisenstein, Artin)

Areas I hope to work

  • Number theory
  • Differential Geometry
  • General Relativity
  • Quantum Mechanics
