Kumar Sri Ranjitsinhji

Kumar Sri Ranjitsinhji (10 September 1872 – 2 April 1933), widely known as Ranji, was a famous Indian cricketer who became the Jam Sahib of Nawanagar. India's premier domestic first-class competition, the Ranji Trophy, is named after him. Ranjitsinhji spent virtually the whole of his playing career in England where he played for Cambridge University (1893–1894), Sussex (1895–1920), and London County (1901–1904). He played for England in 15 Test matches from July 1896 to July 1902.
