Ganshoren is a municipality within the Brussels Region in Belgium. The municipality was created in 1841 by a decision of the Belgian Parliament (Chamber of Representatives) after the secession of the inhabitants of Ganshoren from the municipality of Jette, to which the current munipality was previously part of it.
