In obstetrics, habitual abortion, also called recurrent spontaneous abortion, is "three or more consecutive spontaneous abortions."[1]
One cause may be thrombophilia.
Prevention
Heparin and aspirin do not help in the absence of an identifiable thrombophilia.[2]
