In medicine, abdominal pain is a "sensation of discomfort, distress, or agony in the abdominal region; generally associated with functional disorders, tissue injuries, or diseases."[1]
Evaluation
Carnett's test for abdominal wall tenderness[2].
A positive Carnett's test for abdominal wall tenderness may help.[3]
One approach is ultrasonography of the abdomen, followed by computed tomography of the abdomen if ultrasonography is negative.[4]
