The National Review is an American conservative publication founded, in 1955, by William F. Buckley Jr.. It is one of the most influential publications on the American right, generally social-conservative in orientation.

Buckley, while a strong ideologue, was equally strong as a writer and editor, and the journal is often cited in U.S. political circles.
