Genethlialogy

Genethlialogy (casting nativities) is the doctrine that an individual can be informed of the course of his life on the basis of the positions of the planets and of the zodiacal signs (the 12 astrological constellations) at the moment of his birth or conception. It is one of the fundamental techniques of astrology. The term stems from the ancient Greek word γενεθλον (birth).

Genethlialogy has the same controversial status as astrology, disregarded by many as a pseudoscience and seen by others as a serious source of knowledge.
