User:Myra Bronstein
Myra Bronstein is an historian by avocation. She reads extensively on world history and American history. And she utilizes primary sources rather than history books because she is acutely aware that history is written by the victors, making it inherently biased. She feels strongly that the internet is potentially the best and most democratic disseminator of information ever devised, and the ideal resource for people to learn real history. But she is deeply concerned about certain resources, most notably Wikipedia, wherein viewpoints are presented as facts and too many authors have a personal or business agenda.
Myra is the writer and webmaster for http://www.jfktimeline.com, which presents a three-dimensional time line of events surrounding the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. The purpose of jfktimeline.com--which is a long-term work in progress--is threefold:
- To give context to the horrendous crime that continues to impact our world.
- To reveal the true nature of the man who was the 35th president of
the United States.
- And to examine propaganda that prevents us from understanding the
value of what was taken from us.
She is also webmaster for http://propagandapedia.com, the newly launched sister site to jfktimeline.com. It features articles and information intended to make it easier for readers to identify rhetoric with an agenda.
