My main interest is in performing routine copyediting. My area of expertise is community journalism, as I have been working as either a copy editor, reporter or managing editor at a newspaper since 2000. I studied journalism at Weber State University, but have not completed my final semester.
I was born in Vernal, Utah. I spent my formative years in Utah and joined the United States Army in 1988. I then served 13 months of a proselytizing mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, before being released early due to illness from Gulf War Syndrome.
I worked as a truck driver from 1995 to 1998 and began studying journalism at Weber State University that year. Since then I have worked at the Ogden Standard-Examiner, Utah Weekly, Ogden City News, Weber Sentinel and Coolidge Examiner.
