I am a professor in the Institute of Astronomy within the School of Physics at the University of Sydney. My research interests include stellar oscillations and also optical interferometry. I also studied at the University of Sydney, obtaining a BSc (Hons) with a major in physics in 1987 and a PhD in astrophysics (optical interferometry) in 1992. After that I was a Research Fellow for 2.5 years at the European Southern Observatory in Garching, Germany, before returning to the the University of Sydney as a lecturer in late 1994.
