We don't need summaries (per se) in encyclopedia articles--the first section should be an unnamed bare introduction to the topic, beginning with a sentence. (See Article Mechanics for more policy goodness.) I'd edit this myself, but of course I'd only embarrass myself because I don't understand the topic. --Larry Sanger 19:46, 8 June 2007 (CDT)
