I wrote 99% of this article at Wikipedia. I intend to expand it later. Hayford Peirce 13:05, 16 May 2007 (CDT)

According to several source, he also wrote The Phantom Drive and Other Tennis Stories in 1924, a play, They All Want Something, produced in 1926, and How to Play Better Tennis in 1950. And he also acted in several plays. I may have just read too fast but I did not see mention of these here. Stephen Ewen 22:24, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

Nope, I'd hadn't put them into the original Wikipedia article, or at least not by *name*. It was my first major article, about 3 years ago, and I wasn't sure about what was pertinent and what wasn't. Also, of course, no matter *what* was put in, some 13-y/o idiot/vandal/agenda-driven person would eventually come along and revert/revise it.... I'll work some more info into this article, even if I have to read DeFord's book again -- I'd like to see a *definitive* article about this guy: he was both a remarkable athlete and an absolutely sui generis human being, the sort of person that a Shakespeare could have used for his tragedy called "Tilden".... Interesting comment, Hayford. Having gone over this, I have to say you exhibit a real talent for writing, too--obviously some publishers have thought this too! It'd be nice to see this become, as you say, "a *definitive* article about this guy", and then brought up for approval. ---Stephen Ewen 00:51, 22 May 2007 (CDT)
